I respectfully disagree with your perspective. Opting for the "quiet path" by not escalating errors can lead to issues going unnoticed, only to be discovered later when the impact has grown significantly.

While allowing a system to crash may be a painful experience, it often prompts us to address the root cause directly and learn a valuable lesson in the process.

In my experience, simply logging an error can be insufficient, as logs are often saturated with numerous valid errors, making it challenging to identify and address critical issues effectively.
